•Importance: Decomposers play a vital role in
recycling matter within the ecosystem, where
they break down the remains of dead plants and
animals, converting them into simple mineral
elements that return again to the soil and water.
•Examples: Bacteria and fungi.
* The importance of studying trophic types:

* Parasites and decomposers feed at
each trophic level.
*In the absence of decomposers
organic matter and dead organisms
accumulate, and the nutrient cycle
stops, which negatively affecting all
levels of ecological organization.
This study isn't only a classification for organisms, but a tool to understand:
- Ecosystem dynamics. - How ecosystems maintain their balance.
- How ecological functions collapse when exposed to human factors (such as pollution and
desertification) or disruptive natural factors (such as earthquakes, volcanoes and floods).

Smart collars:
They are collars with precise sensors, placed around the necks of wild animals in nature
reserves, such as in Kenya.
Idea of work:
Measuring the animal's movement rate, pulse
and body temperature, then analyzing the data
using artificial intelligence (AI) to determine
the amount of energy the animal loses.
Importance:
To measure the amount of energy an animal
consumes every day during it is activity and
searching for food.

Iberian lynx
This innovation (smart collars) helped save herds of endangered Iberian lynx after
researchers discovered that declining prey numbers had significantly reduced their
available energy, enabling experts in these reserves to intervene and provide a better
trophic environment.
