Transport in plant
* Higher plants despite the constancy in their place and their lack of a specialized organ for
pushing materials inside, like the heart in human. But, they possess an efficient and balanced
system for distributing water and energy to sustain the continuity of their life and growth.
* Transport in higher plants happens through systems to enable them to tranfer water, mineral
salts absorbed from the soil and also nutrients manufactured inside their parts , which is
called II vascular tissues in plant 11 •

The circulatory system is considered as an integrated network
which consists of
fAl Major (Systemic) circulation _;
- Oxygen-rich (oxygenated) blood is
pumped from the left ventricle through the
aorta to all the body tissues.
- Oxygen-poor (deoxygenated) blood returns
through the veins (venae cavae) to the right
atrium and then the right ventricle.
fBl Minor (Pulmonary) circulation_;
